What is Common Ground?
Common Ground is about helping young people discover, define, and design Heritage across the East of England. We’re getting young people involved in every aspect of the project from choosing what creative projects we run, which artists we commission, and of course taking part. They are co-creators of the project, and they are always given opportunities to not just give opinions but become collaborators and leaders. We have some fantastic partner organisations on board who are passionate about applying what we learn from this project to the heritage sector across the region.
Common Ground is ambitious and radical. We’re working to make natural and cultural heritage relevant and meaningful for young people of all backgrounds, challenge stereotypes and make the sector more inclusive.
We are a Norfolk & Norwich Festival 250 project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. We are proud to be delivering this project in partnership with Norfolk Wildlife Trust, National Trust, Prince’s Trust, SHARE Museums East, Ipswich + Colchester Museum, and Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
